Happy Birthday to my MOM!

On December 1st it was my Mom's birthday =)  I for sure inherited my crafty touch from my Mom.  My mom owns a folk art painting store where she teaches classes and plays with paint all day, living her dream.  When I saw the image I used on her card I knew I had to have it and use it for my Mom.  Her store name is "Country Hearts" and her colour scheme is green and white, so I tried to incorporate the colours and the "hearts" into her card, let me know what you think.....
Yes I know, ANOTHER Lulu!  I could not resist, you have to agree Lulu is too adorable to sit cooped up in my stamp boxes - she must be let out to play and she was soooo perfect from my Mom's card!!

Happy Birthday to my Husband!

Today is my husbands 49th Birthday and I made him a very special card to celebrate this special day.....Back in the day my husband played 1 season for the CFL (Canadian Football League) Hamilton Tiger Cats (Ti-Cats for short).  His jersey number back then was 39, however since he is turning 49 today I deceided to put his age on the jersey instead.

Here is a picture of the front of his card.....
The background paper is from Michaels Recollection 8.5x11 Animal Print Paper Pack. The paper was originally Zebra but I coloured it with my Y19 Copic marker to make it like a tiger tomatch the colours of the Ti-Cats jersey.  I used the My Favorite Things Die-namics Jersey Die & Stamp Set to create the team jersey and I stamped the numbers & the Happy Birthday sentiment in VersaMark ink then embossed them with white embossing powder from Michaels.  I printed the Ti-Cats logo off of the internet to attach to the jersey.  The "Game On" flags Ipurchsed at Michaels andthought that they would be a perfect addition to this card.  I also used the My Favorite Things Die-namics Jumbo Fishtail Banner STAX behind the jersey die to try to make it look like the jersey is hanging from the rafters at a stadium.

Here is a look at the inside of the card.....
Again I used the Zebra paper coloured with my Copic marker. The inside sentiment is also from Michaels.  Now I know you may be thinking that I am kinda mean telling my husband he is old, but it is an on going joke around our house as my husband is 10 years older than me, so he is always teased of his age by me and he is alright with it cause he knows I love him no mater what =)

Here is a close up of the My Favorite Things Die-namics Jersey Die to get a better look at it.

I am so happy with how this card turned out, and I can not wait to see his face when he opens it =)  It was so fun using all the My Favorite Things Die-Namics on this card and I can not beleive that the only thing Copic product on here is the background paper lol.  I almost made a whole card with out Copic markers, can you believe it!!!???

I would love to hear from you to let me know what you think of this card.  I love reading all your comments as it brightens my day to hear from friends =)

I sure hope that you enjoyed todays post and I hope to see you again soon!
